I'm taking a break from cleaning and redecorating my house madly before guests show up on Saturday to write this post about my theme for November's NaBloPoMo. Concentration. Yup, I'm procrastinating on the task at hand, to talk about concentration.


Precisely my point.


How to better concentrate been on my mind more lately (yes, of course while I am doing other things), as I'm working on improving my productivity at work. I had been contemplating taking this opportunity to post every day to explore an attempt to teach myself to better concentrate, when this post by Merlin Mann (of 43folders.com) fell into my feeds on exactly this subject: Concentration strategies for students, where he links to a very thorough-on-first-glance-seeming University of Kent page. Looks like as great a start as any.

So, I'm going to give it the "old Jedi try". What comes of it will be the question. And hopefully you'll stick around to see what kind of answers we find.

hello? testing 1... 2... 3... is this thing on?

I've been thinking a lot again about writing, and that I enjoy it, and well, since I enjoy it, wouldn't it be great to do more of something that I enjoy. Fancy concept, eh? So, I've gone and joined NaBloPoMo - not for the funny name, as some may expect, but to write. more. words. strung. together. in. a. Shatner. voice. and hopefully have some fun, and make one or two of you laugh. (really, I'm lookin' for milk streaming out of noses, people!)

I've a couple ideas for the theme of my posts, (hell, I hope more than a couple!) upon which I'll elaborate more next week, once I have finished redecorating my house. (2-3/4 rooms down, 1-1/4 to go!) 'Cause I've invited people over for Saturday night and nothing says "cocktail party" like crawling around cardboard boxes!
